COMMUNITY RESOURCE DRIVE STEERS HOPE TO THOSE IN NEED




"With every resource you help us provide, you're not only providing a meal or hygeine kit - you're providing hope."


These were the impactful words of Charles, a Community Care Representative of Perfect Love Foundation speaking to an enthusiastic group of volunteers the morning of a Resource Packing party. These packing parties are not uncommon for the foundation and have become a signature event in which community resources are gathered, sorted, prepped and assembled for distribution. Afterwards, the items are distributed to various communities with citizens in need.



Community is a word that resonates throughout the foundation, as its members will often describe the organization as just that - a community. The culture of the organization itself reminds its volunteers that Perfect Love is a community of individuals who: 1) love people,  2) understand that collectively we can make a difference, and 3) believe it is possible to build a better world by creating hope and provoking people to love.

Although this particular day predicted and showed signs of rainfall, the welcoming smiles of participants indicated otherwise. Meeting unsheltered guests as they approached carpools of Perfect Love volunteers, there was underlying feeling of both promise and purpose. Many of the volunteers attested that day to recurrent themes including volunteering and giving back as actions that they feel ultimately aligned with their purpose in life and accordingly gave them a sense of fullfillment.

Frequent exchanges of smiles and laughter continued throughout the distribution of resources in which over 193 individuals in need gained assistance. The event was a success and the foundation attributed the achivements of the day to the Sponsors, Heartbeat Partners, and Rockstar Volunteers that made the day possible.

YOUR PARTNERSHIP MAKES A DIFFERENCE! I remember recently performing one of our Foundation’s routine meal distributions in downtown Atlanta. On this particular night, the sting of winter was fully felt with frosting temperatures below 20 degrees. And despite weather warnings, our volunteer team was determined to still perform the distribution and hand meals to homeless citizens that night. A MOVEMENT FOR UNITY IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA

BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER IN TIMES OF DIVISION A standing ovation welcomed students and professionals who gathered March 9 th , in the Georgia Senate Chamber in support of Perfect Love’s Unify Georgia initiative. A historic day in the making, Unify Georgia was not only recognized as a monumental win for the foundation but more so the day quickly became deemed a victory for the state of Georgia.
